I teach in a mildly diverse Title I school. More than half of my students come from low-income families. Many of them rely on school as a source of structure and stability. We are a community school, so several of my students have siblings or family members that attend school with them. My students are very curious and enjoy discovering new information. Many of them have never traveled outside their hometown. Our classroom is like a family and their home away from home!
