  • Money Counts

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

I cannot thank you enough for donating towards my Money Counts DonorsChoose.org proposal. Through your kindness, my students have received these much needed items. The money flash cards have been very helpful as the students are learning how to identify coins and their values. These flash cards are also great for practicing counting money.

My students are also thankful to have these flash cards to use in order to help them learn how to count the coins. Being able to add and subtract money will help my students to become better problem solvers and improve their financial literacy in the end. Thank you for believing in the importance of education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bullard

  • STEM and Financial Literacy

    Funded Apr 4, 2025

Thank you for helping to fully fund my project. My students are going to be so excited when the items arrive. I cannot wait to tell them about the mock store that we will be able to do because of your generous donation. This real-life simulation is going to be very helpful in getting the students to understand the economic topics we have been learning.”

  • Facts in a Flash

    Funded Mar 23, 2025

Thank you for your generous donation towards my project. Because of your support, each of my students were given a set of addition flash cards. The children practice these facts with a partner several times a week. I have already seen an improvement in their overall fact fluency.

In a few weeks, we will switch over to practicing the subtraction math facts. The addition flash cards will be sent home at that time for them to be practiced there. The subtraction flash cards will be sent home at the end of the year.

These flash cards are helping my students to become good mathematicians. Thank you for supporting education.”

  • We Love Reading Mo Willems' Books

    Funded Dec 28, 2024

My students and I would like to thank you for helping to fully fund our We Love Graphic Novels DonorsChoose project. My students were so excited when I began unpacking the graphic novels. I had three girls who chose to sit and read these books during their indoor recess time instead of playing games.

Graphic novels are very popular among my students and have helped my students to develop a passion for reading. I also like these books because my students are developing their reading skills in an enjoyable way. Your support has helped to bring joy into the classroom.”

  • Reading to Enhance Social Emotional Learning

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you for your donation towards my project. My students love to read these books! The Big Cheese, The Smart Cookie and The Couch Potato have relatable and engaging stories which help to enhance my students' social-emotional learning.

The Big Cheese is an excellent story that helps my students to learn to celebrate their accomplishments and also the successes of others! Competition is fun but it's not the most important thing!

The Smart Cookie story is about a cookie who didn't always feel like a smart cookie. This story helps to weave into one's mind the important lessons of self-worth and embracing one's uniqueness.

The Couch Potato story helps to promote physical activity. This story helps my students to understand that it's all about balancing activity and time on devices!

Because or your support, my students have been able to enjoy reading these engaging books that have great lessons on social emotional learning. Thank you!”
