My first graders are productive little workers who are learning how to be organized and responsible. Writing binders, math journals, world dictionaries, whiteboards and their calendar books are materials that are kept at the end of their table so that they are accessible. Unfortunately, with 5-6 students seated at each table, it can be difficult to keep their materials in one place. Problems arise when everyone at the table wants to pass out the needed material. Other students want to get it themselves. It would really help my students if they had a pocket on the back of their chair so that they could be responsible for their own things. It would also help them with organization, save time and allow them to have a clear workspace. By donating to my project you will really save a lot of frustration, help keep our classroom neat and tidy, and create a more peaceful environment so that learning can flow much more cohesively.
