  • Fun and Learning

    Funded Sep 21, 2023

These chairs have been so great for my classroom. I used them during independent reading time and the kids got so excited to use them and to be able to sit and relax while they read. They look great in my classroom and are also motivating to the kids. There is a sign up sheet for them and they all want to use them.

This makes for great flexibility in my classroom. Kids can get out of their seats and sit in different parts of the room which they enjoy doing.

I also use them for cooperative learning and group work. Kids use them to work on projects and discussions during my ELA class. My students can use these when working on projects even outside my class. Many of them have taken them out in the hallway and used them to work on assignments and projects outside.

I love these chairs and am so happy to have them in my class!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • A MacBook for Increased Learning!

    Funded May 8, 2023

This computer will be of such great use in my classroom. I will use it to collect work from Google Classroom and communicate with my students and conference with them of their progress. It will also be a great way for me to create PDF's and slideshow for my lessons.

I'm also excited to use it for small group work and one on one conferences with my ELA students. Small group is very important in my ICT class and this computer will allow me to present material to a small group and to also update my notes on their progress.

Thank you for your donations and for allowing me to have access to updated technology to use in my class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Basic School Supplies to Help my Kids Succeed!

    Funded Feb 27, 2022

Thank you for these school supplies that have been used by my students daily. These supplies such as notebooks, pencils and markers have made it easier for my kids to learn and also has made them prepared daily.

I keep many of these supplies handy and at easy reach so that when they need them they can easily take them and complete their work. So many of my kids do not have these supplies with them or do not replenish them when they lose them or run out so with this donation they are able to have the supplies they need for daily use.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Graphic Novels to Improve Independent Reading

    Funded Jan 27, 2022

Thank you for your generous contributions to increase my library with graphic novels that my students enjoy reading. These new books have given my kids more access to books they love to read and they look forward to reading so many of these new additions to the library.

Many of my kids don't purchase books on their own and many don't visit the neighborhood public library so it's very important to me that I have lots of new and interesting titles in the class library for them to choose from.

Thank you for your generous contributions and I appreciate all the help I get in giving my kids the resources they need in their education.”

  • Standing Desk!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

This moving desk has been a great asset to my classroom. It has allowed me to work easily in small groups and use the desk to present information on my laptop. It makes moving from group to group easier and I can conference with groups or students individually and put comments on Google classroom.

I also use it to present to the whole class and put my laptop on there to connect to my Promethean board. This desk takes up little space and it makes it easy for me to move around and keeps the classroom neater and clutter free.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Every Book Needs a Home!

    Funded Apr 19, 2023

My students are always looking for new books to read and with this donation I was able to get popular books that many of my kids often ask for. Many were graphic novels and novels with high interest and I have found more and more kids going to the classroom library and taking these books for independent reading.

I have enhanced my classroom library with engaging and appealing new books and my kids have a great variety of books to choose from and this has made them more motivated to read. It has also allowed me to have multiple copies of one book and with that books clubs have been formed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Bins, Boxes and Caddies!

    Funded Dec 20, 2022

The bins and caddies have been very useful for organization and group work in my classroom. I do a lot of group work and collaborative projects and these bins help make it easy for students to share the material while they work and to organize the supplies they are using while working.

It's also much easier for me to hand out supplies or for them to hand out supplies to their classmates. The bright colors are also motivated and very appealing for the classroom. My kids like using them to put markers, colored pencils, highlighter, pens and pencils.

The bins are very useful for me as a teacher to collect their papers or journals. I use different ones for different subjects and classes and it helps me keep their work organized and also easy for my kids to know where certain things belong or get turned in.

These bins and caddies have been very useful and successful in my ELA classroom”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

My school is limited in resources. A color printer will allow our teaching team to provide many learning opportunities for students through scanning, copying, and printing resources and portfolio projects. Students will have access to a color printer that they can use to create various writing, reading and social studies projects. Our students deserve to see their projects in color! A color printer will allow them to create picture books, writing and pamphlets that could be displayed. It is also very useful in social studies when we are printing maps, history examples and projects they create. Vocabulary cards, student published written pieces, and reading resources would all be readily available for our teachers and students with these color printers.
