  • Diverse Middle School Library Fiction Books to Enhance Various Perspectives!

    Funded Jun 26, 2023

I want to thank you soo much for donating to PS/IS library. Having a variety of cultures and values accessible to the students is an imperative part of learning!! Diversity is a key component to reaching academic success in the library. Again, thank you sooo very much for donating to my project, the students will love it!!!”

  • Fabulous Library!!

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you for donating to PS/IS 104's school library. It is amazing that because of donors like you we can provide brand new books for all the students in the school. We will use these books to help the students to learn various ELA content, such as inferencing, theme, main idea, central idea, point of view, author's purpose, and context clues.

These ELA concepts are a struggle to teach when you don't have the best quality books, meaning old and dingy books. The students' lack of interest and motivation is evident on their faces when they reach for used books. However, donors like you have made it possible to provide new and crisp books for these amazing children in our school.”

  • Wizards Library Needed

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

Abracadabra..... wonderful people DO exist. Thank you so very much for your unending support of our students and children in reading. Little by little our library is starting to look a little better and that is because of people like you! No matter the age of our students from Grade 3-8.... everyone is attracted to the series of Harry Potter. They are intrigued by it and love to read the books. Thanks to your generosity, now we can provide books to every grade !

In our classrooms reading looks like a sale on black Friday. Kids are excited to take books out. They cant wait to check the books out and start reading .They carry the books around like it means something . It is an incredibly beautiful sight to see.

I am part of a team of teachers, and while I teach SETTS , I am instrumental in the Library Committee. I know the library teacher teaches reading and the kids take out books every month. They are voracious readers who are so excited to take out books and cant wait until it is their turn. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. G.

  • Wickedly Wizard Library

    Funded Nov 14, 2022

I cannot begin to share what a brand new book feels like in the hands of a student who may have never experienced something new. The excitement to be the " first one" to check out a book....even if it is Harry Potter a well known book, read a thousand times.... not it is a thousand and one.... and it is so very sweet. Thank you for giving our students the gift of reading a brand new book..... series.... so many beautiful books. I have taken the opportunity to covering them with plastic covers ( another donors choice donation) to protect them longer than they would normally last . Thank you again!”

I feel that the more supplies a teacher has, the more tools I can bring to the table for more interesting learning for students of all ages. Students love learning creatively. Since we know that all learners learn differently it is essential to have as many on-hands supplies, such as pencil, pens, markers, crayons, and post-its. Visual learners would also gain from colorful chart paper posted around the room on related subjects. Permanent makers better help me organize my room and label things. Computer paper, draft paper, and notebooks is a necessity to help with the essential needs. Learners can be visual, tactile, or kinetic and supplies will help on all aspects of the learning process. It is people like you who give these students exactly what they need to make their learning experiences a success. By having a supply of markers, crayons, paper, pencils, pens, and post-its it will make struggling learners have more fun while learning difficult material. PLEASE fund me for these essential items and I promise it will benefit all the students I service. Thank You!!
