STEM Explorers
Funded Aug 15, 2024Thank so very much for your generous donations to our STEM centers. The centers have been a great addition to our classroom allowing students to engage in hands-on learning, team work and real world experiences. We are having fun learning and exploring using these centers. As science, technology, engineering, and math are crucial to the development of young minds, my students are able to engage in many learning opportunities and experiences by using the activities in these centers.
we are truly grateful for the donations and support that enables us to have exposure to STEM opportunities.”

We are having fun while learning using our new centers. We are practicing phrasing and fluency every day with reading and by using new fluency center. We have been learning about vowels, r-control vowels and syllable types and are transferring our new skills while working in our new phonics and phonemic awareness centers.
In both Readers' Workshop and Writers' Workshop we are learning about non-fiction texts. We have been focusing on building our vocabulary by using multiple text on the same topic. We enjoy working in are new vocabulary center and building our own vocabulary. As growing readers and writers, we are constantly working on developing comprehension skills so that we can be high level thinkers. Our new comprehension centers allows us to work on comprehension skills independently.”
