Always be "The Kind Kid"

My students and I are so appreciative to obtain these learning materials from DonorsChoose! It is so important to my students to know that there are people out there who genuinely care about their learning and success!

Many of my students had not read this novel before. After we completed the novel many of the students told me how much they enjoyed reading it. Some students expressed how they themselves had struggled being the new kid like Auggie or struggling to fit in because of their outside appearance. I can already see the impact the novel has had on them. The students attitudes towards each other has greatly improved and I'm sure the lessons we have learned will carry on with them for years to come.
