At our listening center students listen to a book. After they listen to their book they practice writing and telling a summary of each book. Too much time is wasted trying to untangle the cords of our headphones. Often they don't get to the important part of summarizing the story. I also end up needing to help them, taking time away from another group of students I am working with. With cordless headphones the students can get right into listening to their book and have time to write their summary. This will allow them to be more independent and allow me to focus on my small group as well.
