These materials will help my ten students calm their bodies through sensory exploration. Many of my students have sensory needs and allowing them to explore different sensory items throughout the day can help them focus better to complete their school work. These materials include a place to go and relax away from the group in a bean bag chair or just sitting and playing in a bucket of water beads or moon sand. These activities help many of my students calm their bodies through their sense of touch. These things have been are very relaxing in the past and we need help replacing some of them and also adding some new sensory toys so that the items are also new and interesting to the students. These materials get used throughout the year and need replacing every couple of years, since some of these items are the student's favorite things. A calm and relaxed student can work better.
