Food to Fuel Learners
Funded Jan 23, 2025Thank you so much for supporting our "Food to Fuel Learners" project. Your generosity has brought healthy snacks and even weekend food availability into our classroom, helping students stay focused and ready to learn.
The day the supplies arrived, the excitement in the room was contagious! The students were eager to explore all the snack options—especially those they had never tried before. They loved being able to choose what they wanted, and having that sense of ownership made the experience even more special.
Your kindness has made a real difference—not just in meeting physical needs, but in showing our kids that people care about their success. We're so grateful for your support in helping create a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and nourished.”

Funded Aug 30, 2022My students and I have been using the Daily Language Books after lunch each day to review skills based in grammar, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Due to the pandemic, my students are even further behind in reading. These materials have helped us close some of the foundational gaps from the earlier years by reviewing the skills and standards from second grade.
We will continue to use these Daily Language Books each week for the rest of the year. I am excited to see how much my students continue to learn and grow from this resource. Thank you for your generous support and contribution to my classroom and students!”

A Phonics Foundation
Funded Sep 20, 2022My students have been so excited to use these phonics kits to work on their reading! We have been using these materials in small group to work on blending CVC words and mastering short vowel sounds. These materials have been so helpful with small group instruction.
It is great that these phonics kits include a variety of different skills with blending and decoding. This allows a large majority of my students to be able to use these supplies. I love how I can use each kit in a variety of different ways. With your generosity, you have made this possible for my students!!”

Funded Apr 8, 2022Thank your for your generosity with this project!! My kids love these folders games so much and enjoy playing them together!
We love to use them during intervention time, as a challenge, and for choice time as well. The students in my class love to compete with each other as they play and practice their math skills.
These games are great because there are some lower level skills and also some skills that will challenge my students working on grade level to push past what they know in fourth grade.
Thank you for your kindness and supporting my classroom!”

Funded Mar 31, 2022This project has been such a support for the students in my class. On Wednesdays we have reduced days and now I am able to provide each student with a snack. The students are very excited about the snack options.
We are working on using the zones of regulation at our school. Students who are in the blue zone may be tired or hungry. Having a snack available in the classroom makes it a lot easier to address these needs and bring them into a green zone where they are ready to learn.
This project has been helpful too with meeting students' needs after school. I have been able to send home food for dinner so students have something to eat overnight.
This project has made all the difference for my students. I cannot thank you enough for you kindness and generosity.”

Practice Makes Progress!
Funded Sep 23, 2021We love these daily language and math practice books!! The class was very excited for the order to arrive. Coming back from a year of virtual learning, we knew we had a lot of skills to work on to get students ready for fifth grade this year. These books have helped make that possible.
One thing I love about these (and my students) is that it breaks a skill down into a small manageable chunk. Each day is only a small part to do. Students are able to try it on their own and then we check it as a class. It gives them a chance to feel confident about their work. It also allows them to try a new skill without feeling overwhelmed by a whole page of practice.
These books are a game changer for language and math practice. We are so thankful to all of our donors who contributed so we could get these supplies. Thank you for your continued support of our class!”

Funded Oct 21, 2021This was our second project of stools to be funded this year! My students were very excited for the arrival of the second project and many students were eager for their own stool who had been sharing or using a regular chair.
As a teacher, I love giving my students the choice about what type of seating works best to help them learn. It has been great to offer them choices and let them communicate about what works best for their needs.
We use these stools all day long!! Students sit on them at their desk, we use them in the calm down corner, and even for guided reading. These stools are making a difference in our classroom! Thank you donors for your generosity and support.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021When the boxes for the project arrived my students were ecstatic! We had a few stools in our room at the guided reading table that they love to sit on, so the chance at having their own for their desk was very exciting.
As the stools arrived, I began to offer them to students who were fidgety, students who expressed interested in different seating, or students who were curious to test them out. My students got to choose what type of seating was best for them and their learning.
These stools are providing my students a greater opportunity to learn. They are using core strength to keep their balance and also able to stay focused at their seats much better. This is possible because they can now wobble and move around on the stool during lesson time and independent work time. Thank you donors!!!”

Funded Aug 12, 2021We are very grateful for your generosity this year!! We are using these Becoming Skilled Writers book to build our writing stamina and to write about topics that are relevant and interesting.
The first writing piece we tackled was an opinion piece about the students' favorite room in their house. It is extremely helpful that the book breaks the writing pieces down into parts and scaffolds it perfectly for student needs. I love how there are checklists on the pages for students to refer to and they can self monitor their writing.
We are continuing to learn and grow this year despite the many challenges from Covid. Thank you for making that learning a little easier!!”

Funded Aug 13, 2021With your generosity, I was able to provide each student with their own individual pencil box of supplies coming back to in person school after a year of virtual learning!!
On day one of school, students were able to feel safe and excited to have their own individual supplies to use during Covid. Each student received a pencil sharpener, pencils, colored pencils, erasers, crayons and more in their own pencil box. We even have tissues to use in the room during allergy season!!
Now my students have these wonderful art supplies to use during lessons. They were able to use these right away on All About Me Projects as we began our first days as a classroom community. Thank you for all our your love and support!”
