  • Who is Ready to Dissect?

    Funded Apr 20, 2022

My students had been asking for dissection mats for quite some time, so when they received them they were extremely excited. It is always a blessing to me to see how grateful they are for your donations. They are simply blown away that there are people out there who do not know them, but are generous enough and care enough about their education to donate to our classroom/

The mats are the perfect addition to dissection labs because they are wipeable and that helps us be able to be more sanitary and also able to reuse these for many years. The detail and labeling are exceptional and are a wonderful guide to the students.”

  • Human Torso With Removeable Parts

    Funded Jul 28, 2021

I cannot tell you how excited my students were to receive the human torso with removable parts. They were beyond ready to get their hands on it and start learning. This torso has helped them better understand how all of the organs fit and work together. The fact that they can see it and hold it in their hands help them to better understand the complexity of the body.

Everytime we begin a new unit, they are ready to get the torso and see how the organs that we are studying look and fit in the torso. Thank you so much for your generous donations.”

  • Teachers Pay Teachers

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

The impact of your donation to our classroom has been enormous. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card is the gift that keeps on giving. Please be assured that your generous donation has impacted each student in my classroom.

Teachers Pay Teachers is a wonderful site in which teachers share their resources with one another. The luxury of having a gift card is that when I come across something, or go looking for something that would benefit my students, I have the ability to purchase right away. This insures that the students have everything they need.

This is especially helpful with students that may need a little extra help on a specific topic. I am able to find supplemental materials that help them to master the topic and not fall behind. Thank you again for your incredible donation.”

  • You Should See It in Color!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you for choosing our classroom to make your donations. The color printer and ink that you helped us receive has changed the way my students learn. This has allowed my students to learn diagrams in color instead of black and white.

My biology students must master a biology state test in order to graduate. As you can imagine this test has many diagrams on it. The students take this state test on a computer, so all diagrams are in color. The problem is that unfortunately for years, they have had to learn and study these diagrams in black and white. YOU changed that this year and for many years to come. This was a true game changer for my students.

Again, thank you for choosing us to help. I hope that you understand just how much this has impacted my students. They were blown away that strangers were willing to help enrich their learning process.”

  • Basic Supplies are a Must!

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

Thank you so much for choosing our class and for being so incredibly generous. It has been a blessing to be able to give students the supplies as they need them. My students were blown away when they saw that our supply cabinet was well stocked.

I have many students that are embarassed to ask for things that they may need, and for them to be able to go get what they need has been incredible. It amazes me how none of my students take advantage of supplies, but are even considerate of others who may need it more.

I require my students to keep up with their work in a binder and this is the item that seems to be the hardest for students to obtain. So, having these handy in the classroom has been very convenient and the students have taken great care of them. Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Colorful Anatomy!

    Funded Dec 5, 2020

Thank you for your donation to our biology and anatomy classroom. My students were absolutely overjoyed to receive the anatomy art work. It has brought brightness to an otherwise dark year. These kids have made many sacrifices and missed out on a lot this school year, so I felt they deserved something to be excited about.

The anatomy artwork hangs in my classroom and serves as a daily visual of the anatomy that we study. This has helped my students learn and appreciate different organs of the human body. They are not just seeing it in a textbook, but seeing it in a colorful and beautiful way that adds to their appreciation of the body.

Thank you again for making my kids feel important and giving them some joy during this unusual school year. Please know that they truly appreciate and understand the importance of your donation.”

  • Make No Bones About it, We Need a Skeleton

    Funded Oct 27, 2020

Thank you just doesn't seem like enough to express our gratitude. I wish that you could have seen the faces of my students the day our skeleton arrived. They were beyond excited, and grateful. They were blown away that people they have never met cared enough about them to help them in their learning process. They immediately began to point and name the bones that they knew, and it enabled them to learn the ones that they had not yet mastered.

Please know that your kindness was appreciated by every single student that walked through my door. When these students have been met with so much disappointment lately, it was nice to give them a reason to be happy. This will make a difference in my classes for years to come, thank you again.”

  • iNeed an iPad Mini!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you for your generous donation to our new iPad mini. This iPad has been essential in staying in touch with my distance learners. My school has allowed students to remain distance learners, and this has presented the challenge of giving real time, live instruction to these students.

It was important to me to make sure that my distance learners were receiving the same instruction as my in class learners. The iPad mini enables me to do that by allowing me to go live through google meet. The students are able to ask questions in real time and participate as if they are in the class. This has made an incredible difference in their learning experience.

Thank you all again for your generosity. You will never know the impact that your donation has made on this crazy year, it has allowed some normalcy.”

  • Biology Teacher Needs a Laptop!

    Funded Jul 29, 2020

I would like to extend my gratitude for your donations toward my new laptop. When I wrote this project several months ago, there were so many unknowns about the upcoming school year. We all knew that it would be like no other, but what would that look like? Well, for my district we had traditional in class learners as well as distance learners.

It was important to me to ensure that all of my students were going to get every possible learning benefit of my class whether they are sitting in my class or sitting in front of a computer or device. This laptop has made that possible. I use the laptop to lecture live daily through google meet and this allows the distance learners to have the same learning experience as everyone else. Not only does it allow me to go live, but it has been essential to me being able to post online assignments in google classroom and be able to monitor the students progress. This laptop has been a lifeline between my students and me. So, thank you just doesn't seem like enough, but thank you.”

  • Daily Basics for Success

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

This is a difficult time of year because most of my students have used all of their beginning of the year school supplies. I have done my best to refurbish, but your donation has helped us all more than you know. Some students are embarrassed to ask for paper when they need it, so now with your help, I have paper and other supplies in designated areas and they can get it as they need it.

My students are very aware of how amazing it is that someone that they do not even know cares enough about their education to contribute to their daily needs. We have also been able to do projects in class with the poster boards that you helped purchase. I sometimes hesitate doing these projects because of the financial strain it puts on families, and now that doesn't have to be a concern. Again, thank you from all of us!”

    Ms. Bates

All of my students have a desire to see what we are learning, not just read about it. In our biology class we go in depth learning the structure and function of a cell. Virtual reality would allow my students to step inside a cell and see how hard every cell in their body works every minute of the day. They would also be able to see DNA replication and protein synthesis as if they were inside the body. We also study different biomes around the world. Virtual reality would allow my students to visit these biomes without leaving Mississippi!
