Innovative ideas like flexible seating and STEM Projects are changing the way students learn and collaborate with peers in the classroom. Engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) projects keep students motivated and excited about learning. My students LOVE learning with projects. Students work together to build projects with materials such as straws, toothpicks, craft sticks, and more to discover engineering challenges. Students can create catapults to find out how far objects can soar into the air with craft sticks. My students and I are excited to bring STEM projects into our classroom this year. Students thrive in a classroom environment that meets their needs. Flexible seating gives students opportunities to find out what their learning styles are in a more comfortable setting. My students love having the choice to sit where they want in our classroom. Some students enjoy a traditional seat; while other students have a hard time sitting still in a chair for more than five minutes. Wiggle seats and stability balls help those students move, which enables them to learn the information I'm teaching. Flexible seating helps all students succeed in our classroom.
