Wiggly Bodies Succeed in 4th Grade!

Thank you so much for helping our classroom to be more student friendly through the purchase of flexible seating. It took me quite some time to figure out how to best implement it mid-year and make it fair for all students. They currently sit in table groups and earn points for various things throughout the day. The team with the most points at the end of the week has first choice in seating for the entire following week. The kids LOVE THEM! Between the wobble chairs, stools and soft cushions, kids have more seating options and love having the choice in how they want to learn for the day. They are motivated to work together as a team to earn points so that they can have one of the "cool seats." Lots of students have a hard time sitting all day and the cushions offer the chance for them to lay on the floor and work. The stools have offered more seating in smaller spaces, like the kidney bean table. The wobble chair have been fabulous for those who need to move while seated without distracting their neighbors.
