Take a Bite Out of Tooth Decay!

I have started using the materials you donated in my clinic. I placed toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes in sandwich bags. I decorated the sandwich bags with tooth stickers. These bags are prominently in a bin on a table in the clinic. When a student comes to see me because they have lost a tooth (a regular occurrence in an elementary school clinic!), they get to choose one of these bags to take home. I also remind them to brush their new teeth every day.

You have no idea how excited these kids get to get a new toothbrush and toothpaste! Many have shared that they don't always have these things at home. I have noticed that tooth decay is quite prominent among the students at this school. I believe your generous donation is the first step toward improving dental care among these students and starting good habits that will follow them into adulthood.”
