Many of my students are not able to have their sensory needs meet in the classroom. These items will be able to help meet those needs and aid with the ability to better focus throughout the day. The standing desk will be accessible to those students who do not work well while sitting. The yoga ball chairs and bounce bands will allow students to move around while learning and completing work. I am hopeful that providing my students with these tools will help them be more successful in and out of the classroom. Studies show that being able to move around while learning and working can stimulate the brain. Sitting still for long periods of time can be difficult for many children as well as adults. Supplying children the tools they need to be successful is very important. These children are OUR future!!!
