A "Place for Everyone" Carpet is wonderful for primary classrooms. It helps with classroom management and instruction. Students have their assigned square which provides them with personal space while also making it easy for the teacher to strategically assign partners. This is so important because we have so many different languages spoken in our class. I am able to easily assign partners that can translate for each other and help support each others learning. Lastly, it helps to create a more comfortable learning environment for students.
Unfortunately, due to the high cost of these carpets, I have never been able to purchase one. In years past, I have made due with putting masking tape on the carpet. As you can imagine, this does not last long. It quickly gets torn or students pick at it. These carpets last for many years and I would be extremely grateful to finally be able to have one in my classroom.
