My preschoolers need eighteen booster seats in order to go on class trips. Only this grade (Pre-Kindergarten) allows students and their families to attend trips for free. It would be a shame, if this year, they will miss out on our Pre-K class trip tradition. In the past Pre-K went to the aquarium, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, Puppetworks, Inc., the zoo, the botanical gardens, Green Meadows Farm, and the fire station. I am excited this year. I am hoping to take my class to the NY Transit Museum because we are studying a new theme; Transportation. The children will get to explore vintage subway cars, a model bus and trolley. They will also partake in an arts and crafts workshop and create their own vehicles. Nothing can replace the wonder-filled experience of traveling on a school bus, gazing out the window with your peers, teachers, and parents. The air filled with anticipation and excitement. The sounds of laughter, chatter, and singing. Educational trips help preschoolers develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Trips give children first-hand knowledge that will enhance learning in all subject areas. On behalf of my students, I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read about my project. Your donation will help provide my students with the opportunity to experience real magical school bus adventures and make a lasting impact on their lives.
