Phonics Fun for First Grade
Funded Oct 24, 2016Thank you so much for the generous donation. I am so grateful for people like you, who take the time to give to support the education of children.
The materials came at the end of one school day and my students were so excited to see what was in the big box. We opened the box together and took out the materials one by one. The students were so excited to know that new games would be appearing during word work time.
We used a few of the games and puzzles the following day during work work and the children we completely engaged in the new materials. The bright colors, the new puzzles teaching blends and digraphs and vowel magnets were instantly put to good use. These games and materials support the phonics skills that my students need the most. And what is most exciting, I do have a few more of the materials that I have been saving to use. My students are JUST getting to the point where vowel pairs are their next step in learning. I can't wait to surprise them next week with MORE new materials. Truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Dramatic Play Center
Funded Jan 1, 2016Thank you so very much for funding my project. Words can't express the gratitude I feel knowing that someone would extend such generosity. My children absolutely adore the new materials for our dramatic play center.
When I opened the box there were many oohs and ahhhs of excitement. I heard, "Oh I can't wait to be a firefighter" and "I can't wait to use the tool kit in the dramatic play center". Even by just opening the box, the children's imagination was sparked. The creativity and the excitement towards the dramatic play center is amazing. The children look forward to using the dramatic play center daily and the new materials are a driving force.
This week we will be starting a new social studies unit on the community and these new materials are going to be a beautiful supplement for the children to act out what the are learning about. I am excited to see how the materials will support their learning and understanding of the world around them.

Games To Build Community In Kindergarten!
Funded Dec 11, 2014Thank you so much for your generous donation. My students absolutely love the new games! When we opened the box in class, their eyes lit up at the bright and colorful boxes and they could hardly wait to begin to use them! We immediately opened them and set out Candy Land at center time. It was the most popular station at centers that day. The children were working together, taking turns and most of all having fun! These games have been a great resource for my classroom because it provides the opportunity for the children to work together and in the small group setting it is a positive environment with rich language experiences which will only support them moving on. Thank you so much for giving, it is life changing and VERY encouraging for me as a teacher that someone would care so much to give!”

Learning Our ABC'S!
Funded Dec 18, 2013Thank you all so much for your generosity. It is people like you that are the inspiration to me. I am humbled that you would choose my project to fund. I am very thankful and grateful you would take the time to give to my classroom.
My students absolutely love the ABC learning tubs that were donated. These tubs contain little toys that begin with the each letter of the alphabet. My students are enjoying sorting the toys to match the sounds. These materials are extremely supportive for my little ones who are still working to learn all their letters and sounds. We just started using these tubs in our word work time for letter identification and sound practice. The children love using these materials. I look forward to using them for years to come!
