Comfy, Cozy Reading Corner
Funded Nov 3, 2016Dear Donors,
My students were so excited when we started receiving our new supplies for our Cozy Reading Corner last week! We started getting supplies on Monday and we received boxes throughout the week. Each day they asked to help open boxes and start setting up our new corner. The fuzzy rug is light green and so comfortable. The chairs provide nice back support while sitting on the floor and my students love the different colors. And the soft, fuzzy pillows...they provide a little extra fun for the whole area.
The new reading corner makes our reading time special and more focused. It defines a special time during language arts that all of my students look forward to. Both of my groups of 4th graders and 5th graders are working in book clubs right now and so we started using our Cozy Reading Corner right away. Students are comfortable yet engaged and we have established rules for sharing supplies. In addition, students who finish their work are allowed to use the reading corner for independent reading and can choose books from the new baskets we received.
Thank you for your generosity to our project. My students absolutely love it and are also appreciative”
With gratitude,

Chromebooks for 21st-Century Learning!
Funded Jul 31, 2016Dear Donors,
My students are so excited to have five new Chromebooks in our classroom and it's nice that the students can access them whenever they want!
My 5th grade students are currently working on a research project about the first explorers to America. They are enjoying using the Internet to look up current information. My 4th graders are practicing their reading skills using the program, istation. Both groups love the sleek Chromebooks and I love the fact that we now have accessible, new technology.
I cannot thank you enough for your generosity to my classroom project. Because of you, my students can expand their learning in new (and convenient) ways!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Cox
