I Can Sit Where?
Funded Aug 11, 2021We are so thankful in our classroom to have flexible seating. We all know that students learn in a variety of ways. Giving students the opportunity to choose how they will learn creates ownership. The students in our classrooms can choose a bouncy ball, wobble seat, or a learning mat to engage in their learning.
I have noticed that student engagement has increase as this option has been available to the students. I've also seen how this has also impacted increased student achievement . Thank you so much for all of the amazing donations.”

Flexible Seating, Happy Learning
Funded Mar 20, 2022Flexible Seating, Happy Learners! Wow, what a differences flexible seating can have on a classroom. We know that not all students learn the same way. Now by providing students with different seating options shows value and respect them as learners. Students are able to choose a scoop to rock back and forth, a cushion to sit on the floor or a high stool to sit at a table. At our school we have 65 first graders that come in and utilize the flexible seating.
Your donations have greatly impacted so many students and have helped increase student learning. Thank you so much for all that you have done for our classroom.”

Funded Jul 20, 2016We were so excited to get our binders. We opened the box and passed them out. Each student put their name on it with a big black sharpie. It was their very own binder. Everyday we use the binder. We have three sections, phonics, reading and math. In the phonics section we write our spelling words. With each spelling word we draw a picture to help us remember what the word is. In our reading section we will make graphic organizers to help us organize our thinking. In our math students have number bonds, ten frames, and math vocabulary. All these sections are resources to the students. They use them to help further their learning. If one gets stuck I hear "Let me get my resource out!" AVID is a great program and thank you for the binders and further their learning :)”
