Fourth graders are kids, and they have a hard time sitting still and staying focused, some more than others. Students are able to work standing up during parts of our day. However this is not possible all the time. Children need movement to release excess energy and to keep them focused. The bouncy bands provide a way for my students that need to move to be able to do so while working and listening to instruction without disrupting the learning environment. My goal is to provide active learners with a safe learning environment where they can move and release energy while staying focus on learning.
