My classroom currently has a single iPad to share among nineteen five year olds. Fun equation to solve, right? I have become very creative to give each child an opportunity to utilize this single iPad but would love for the children to have technology in their hands more frequently. My students use the iPad to scan QR codes in order to listen to books while others are at my teacher table learning how to read. We use the iPad to take photos of shapes and sight words we find in the school building, create projects, I-Station, math and reading games plus so much more. The iPad is very simple for young learners to navigate independently. I see personal pride in my students when they are able to successfully complete a learning app or create a project. There are so many educational apps to utilize, especially for my ESL and economically disadvantaged students that do not have the opportunity to use technology at home. This donation will make a huge difference in the educational experience that my students confront on a daily basis. I would like to thank-you so much for your consideration! Thank-you for your willingness to help my students reach their personal best.
