Two of our tubas do not have cases. This means we can not travel around with them without risking damage. Walking with a tuba can be hard because it is really big and heavy. Walking through a doorway with two hands holding a tuba often poses a challenge. This challenge is multiplied when you also have to worry about the instrument getting hit by the door without any protection. The backpack style tuba case I'm asking for will make it easier and safer for my students to take the tubas home to practice, to carry them around the school for performances, and to take tome on buses when we travel. Have you ever watched someone try to play the tuba who is too small? I have heard from many of my past tuba students that they loved playing the tuba but hated holding it. I have 5 students who would like to start playing tuba this school year and they need tuba stands. An adjustable-height tuba stand allows you to rest your tuba at the correct height for you to play it! No more frustrations of not being able to reach the mouthpiece! No more damage from the tuba sliding off the front of the chair! My students would love to have tuba stands because it will allow them to focus on learning to play music rather than constantly worrying about how to tame their tuba!
