Teaching Heart!
Funded Aug 27, 2019The materials have arrived! I am very excited for my kids to grow in their math skills by using the interactive 120 chart. My students will also be learning subjects such as building friendships, working hard and perseverance, with their new journals. New in-person learning is coming and with these new materials joy is coming to my students.
I know this is not what we thought your donation would be for but it is what is needed during this time.
I am still hoping to attend the Teach Your Heart Out conference in March 2022 pending safety.
I thank you for your kind hearts and open support of me and hope in our children.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Fernandez
On Fire for Teaching
Funded Jan 13, 2018I cannot describe to you the excitement I feel about my classroom, my students, and the new year. This conference taught me to BE BOLD, in my teaching and it's ok to try to not be perfect in everything we do. The essential question is "Do students want to be in our classrooms or are they forced to be in our classrooms?" I am waking up in the middle of the night because so many ideas are in my head about creating experiences for my students so that they are excited to come to school. I keep thinking about how I can deliver the classroom standards in new and fun ways. All of this is because of your belief in me and your openness to help me to continue to bring magic into my classroom.
This conference had so much energy and positive outlooks for teachers to keep working, keep growing, and keep inspiring. I feel encouraged and ready to try new things. Can't wait for my students to arrive.
Again, thank you! Your spirit of generosity will be with me daily.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Fernandez
"Special Students, Special Learning Place"
Funded Oct 13, 2016With your help and support the students are enjoying their new carpet and stools. The carpet has made such an impact in our classroom by being a place of community, a place where we can learn and be together. It is because of your kindness and generosity that our classroom is finally complete. The children love the new stools so much that on most days we have to share the stools throughout the day because so many of the students want to use them. Oh how I wish you could have seen the looks on their faces when the janitor brought us our new rug and stools. They were jumping up and down and had the biggest smiles on their faces - and all because of you. There are now words to express how grateful and thankful we are.”
