• Inclusive and Diverse Books Supporting Social-Emotional Skills!

  Thank you so much for the generous donation to give our students diverse books. Every child deserves to be represented in the classroom. Many times we see students choose books that have characters that look like them. It is wonderful to see them smile when they connect with a book.

  We have a library in our classroom for students to choose books throughout the day. We now have many books for students to choose from that represent many cultures and ethnicities.

  It is a window into new worlds for some students and a mirror for others. Our Pre-K students are learning to love and accept everyone. They are truly enjoying the new books and are yearning for more. Their eyes are open to new possibilities in every way. Thank you for your support. Without people like you, we would not be able to provide these rich experiences.”

• Lights Up!

  Our light table manipulatives are a real asset to our light table. Students are sorting, counting, creating patterns, and really enjoying their time at this center! The students were so excited when these materials arrived. They couldn't wait to take their turn to use them. Making choices is hard at this age, but also empowering.

  Some students wanted the letters to create their names on the light table. Others were interested in the translucent dominoes. Students were able to choose which materials to use and how they wanted to learn with them.

• Alphabet Sounds

  Thank you so much for the alphabet sounds tubs! The students are always excited to see what items are in each letter sound tub. I use them in our letter mystery bag each day. I put a tub of items in a bag with a huge question mark on the outside of the bag. Then I take out one item at a time to give students a clue of the mystery letter of the day. After taking out and identifying each object, the students figure out the mystery letter of the day. This is a fun short game we play each morning that the children look forward to during Morning Meeting.

• Farmer's Market!

  Thank you so much for supporting our Pre-K classroom needs. The Farmer's Market area has been a big hit. Students love sorting and shopping for food. Our little ones are learning important math and thinking skills when sorting and counting foods. You would be surprised at how much they charge their pretend customers! Talking about inflation! It is so much fun to listen to their conversations about the market food. We have been learning about recipes and how to cook. Some say they will cook their corn for 10 hours! That's after they've charged me a million dollars for fresh corn!
