By having these materials in our class, my students will be able to have flexible seating and be able to engage and participate while sitting in an area that best suits their learning style. Sitting in a stiff chair all day is hard for students of 9 and 10 years old. Sometimes students do their best work and most learning standing up or fidgeting around a little. Flexible seating arrangements allows students to do just that! Students make good choices by finding a spot where they can concentrate while sitting on something that is comfortable. However, a chair and desk is also still available to those students who do their best learning that way as well.
