My teaching philosophy is that all students are unique learners. I believe that students can learn in their own way and time. I use all the learning modalities to assure all students have an equal opportunity for success. I believe that students should have time for self-exploration as well as direct instruction everyday. I am a firm believer in project-based learning as a means of teaching and learning. When students get to make choices and manipulate variables; the concepts become the foundation for more abstract applications later. I enjoy involving families in what we are doing in the classroom and keeping communication open. I look forward to sending out a weekly newsletter and especially calling home to share a special compliment. Family support is essential to quality education.
