Having ONE iPad Pro in our classroom will make a huge difference. Recently, I've attended a workshop where the presenter was walking around with her iPad. She was a great speaker and included us all in her presentation by adding notes, highlighting, circling, drawing pictures, incorporating videos, images, and even our own work directly into her slideshow. The iPad was connected by an air server to her computer, which projected onto the screen. I quickly imagined how myself and my co-teacher (inclusion classroom) could utilize such a device. We could take pictures of the students work and instantly throw it up onto the screen. We could record ourselves doing a lesson and provide access to it with our absent students through google classroom. Students could work out a problem on the iPad and record their thinking. We would be able to hear and watch our students thinking through a math problem. Watch them erase mistakes, make connections and have Aha's!!. The App that this presenter was using is called notability, but there are many others. Our school is trying hard to bring more technology to our students, but it has been a challenge. As soon as we manage to buy a couple sets of computers (1 per grade level), another set gets outdated or has to be recycled. I thought that this would be a great way to allow all my students to interact in our lessons and provide them with access to technology.
