    Students are using the stools that you graciously funded in order to sit at tables where they can use multiple devices to increase their technology skillset.

    These students are trained in software applications, technology integration, and customer service so that they can mentor and empower others students as well as their teachers with life-long technology knowledge and digital citizenship skills. Students were overwhelmed with excitement to find a dedicated place in the classroom where they could train. This seating arrangement works better than traditional classroom desks.

    Students are still in the process of completing their training, but up next will be hosting their student-led technology sessions and one-on-one software applications help.”

  • Using Podcasts to Master Oral Delivery of Research

    Funded May 26, 2019

    The acoustic panels for podcasting and voiceovers are being utilized in conjunction with our Rodecaster Pro and microphones which allow students to record podcasts. By recording podcasts, students' learning has been enriched by deepening their understanding of the difference between communicating the same information in different mediums - written vs. oral.

    Students had no idea that there would be any podcasting going on, so they definitely did not expect the materials funded by Donors Choose. It was a complete shock, well received, and the consensus is "extremely grateful."

    I am ecstatic that students are interested in podcasting more throughout the year in class. In addition, curiosity as been peaked regarding how to start podcasts outside of the classroom.

    Two weeks from now we will be podcasting again!”

  • "Bored" With The Black "Board" Vs. Classroom Jeopardy

    Funded Aug 4, 2009

    My students really enjoy the Classroom Jeopardy game system which you so generously gifted them. It has proved to be a valuable asset within the classroom as my students continue to get excited about for test reviews and ACT/SAT testing strategies.

    Many of my colleagues actually borrow the system because their students continually complain that they don't have the opportunity to make their learning as fun. The game system is definitely a big hit around the school!!
