  • Listen While You Work!

    Funded Mar 29, 2017

We received our classroom materials today! The kids were very excited to see what was inside the box.

We immediately began using the word spacers. This worked out perfectly for the animal research papers we are currently working on. The students were so proud of how neat their writing looked. We are going to use the sandtimers tomorrow when practicing our math fact fluency.

We look forward to using the pocket chart in our listening area for differentiating our work. The composition notebooks are perfect for student writing and drawing. My students love to write!

Thank you so much for donating to this project. These are materials that make a huge difference in the education of my students, that they otherwise would not have access to. You have made a difference in the lives of children you don't even know! For that, you are my hero!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Loga

  • Centers,Centers.....Read All About It!

    Funded Mar 2, 2017

The students were so excited to receive the learning games! As soon as we received the items, we tried them out.

We used the magnetic long vowel and blends boards during our ELA RtI time. This worked out great during our learning areas. Students were engaged in their learning the whole time and can't wait to use the materials again tomorrow.

We will begin our next Math module, Geometry, next week. The students had many questions when they saw the exciting new Math games. They began exploring the different shapes. The Math puzzles will especially help my ENL and visual learners to understand new concepts/vocabulary.

I can't thank you enough for supporting this project. These items will help encourage learning for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Loga

  • Let's Get Phunky with Phonics!

    Funded Dec 7, 2016

We received the rest of our resources today and put them right to use! We used the write and wipe map for Social Studies when speaking about early world civilizations. The students had so much fun locating places like Egypt and circling them on the map. The students were able to see the Phonics journals and had many questions about them. These will be placed at one of our learning areas during RtI time. The blends puzzles will also be used during our RtI centers' time.

The kids were so excited when they saw me bring the boxes into the classroom and we all enjoyed opening them together. They were eager to use the new resources. Right away, I received a hundred questions, such as; When can we use this? What are these for? Can we open these right now? They were very engaged and I know this momentum will continue once we use these resources regularly.

I can't wait to use the world map throughout our units of study. I know this will further their map skills and knowledge of the world. The interactive phonics journals and blends puzzles will be used on a daily basis to help strengthen phonics skills. Thank you so much for making this project a reality!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Loga

  • Getting an Earful Through Listening

    Funded Sep 22, 2016

These materials have been life changing for my students. They are engaged in their centers. They are excited to play the games and I can see them making big educational gains.

I shared the exciting news with my students about the donation and they were very eager to try out the new materials!

Learning centers are now a time for students to learn and to have fun. We plan on using the headphones during learning center times to listen to stories. They will also be used to play math games. I can't wait to see my students continue to grow this year!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Loga

This project will make a tremendous impact on my students' lives. I want my students to enjoy learning. This project will allow for students to acquire the English language through multiple means of exposure. Headphones will help students with vocabulary, sight words, and fluency. I will use these materials to help with Literacy and Math intervention centers. Students can improve their skills through these standards based games. Without funding, I fear that my students will not have access to these educational products and struggle with success as a result of this. Please help us bring back the enjoyment of learning despite being in a school of high poverty.
