The karaoke machines I am requesting will allow students to hear high-quality sound from karaoke videos at the end of the school day to practice their Spanish (and singing) skills in an age-appropriate way. Students will be able to look up their favorite artists songs and practice reading Spanish that is highlighted subtitles on the screen. The Karaoke will be used to improve vocabulary and pronunciation skills. It will also help the students hear how words are pronounced. This method has been shown to be a successful learning through various research. Additionally, the speakers will also be used to promote group participation in other computer learning activities such as online classes and phonics programs. Most importantly, students will be able to use the speakers to share information about their tastes and preferences in Spanish music, while being able to use the language at home to communicate with their parents and grand-parents. The karaoke machines will be used to help students who have difficulties with language gain access to a valuable form of self-expression. The planners will help me keep track of students progress and enhance their learning by identifying areas of need for improvements. This will not only help the students become better in Spanish, but it helps me become a better teacher. You are not only helping them to learn to read and speak Spanish, but you are also helping them to communicate their values and interests to groups of their peers and the people who support and care for them. You are providing a form of learning that is not always readily accessible to them at home, but will allow them to share more with their families.
