  • Tools to Success!

    Funded Aug 3, 2018

Thank you so much for helping my students! These are supplies that they will use daily. Because of your generosity, my students will be able to complete their work, stay organized, and feel proud of themselves for the work they have accomplished. You are truly giving them the tools to succeed!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hutchinson

  • Outdoor Learning

    Funded Aug 18, 2016

Thank you so much for your donation! The children were so excited when the crates were delivered! I wanted crates for seating in an outdoor learning classroom and to place our harvested vegetables in. I did not realize what a blessing they would be IN the classroom. Because of you, my students now have alternate seating in the classroom! I have a huge number of students that can not see from the back of the room. Many of our families can not afford to buy glasses for their child or replace broken ones. The crates, along with the cushions I made, make a great seat for the students to use to see the board. Thank you, again, for your generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hutchinson

The crates, with added cushions, will become seating for an outdoor classroom. The students will be able to explore situations, nature, etc. outside of the traditional classroom. This will give them real world examples. For example, when teaching observation vs inference, going outdoors will enhance the lesson. Students will be able to observe their surroundings, brainstorm, and come up with examples of each. We are also starting an outdoor garden this year. This will not only teach them about scientific inquiry and nutrition but they will harvest the vegetables to be used in their school lunches. The crates can be used to carry supplies or to sit on while they are weeding the garden. The possibilities are endless!
