We will study the environment and talk about how the earth should be respected and treated. Students will look at a variety of trees and pick one to research and explore. They will then choose a media and paint or color their tree with pastels or paint of their choice. They can create their tree in any setting and season and add details as appropriate. We will display the trees around the school and the students will write artists statements about what is special about their trees and why trees are importent to our earth. They will also talk about the creative process they explored when making their artwork.
