  • Book Clubs

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards our Book Club books. The students have enjoyed reading them and I look forward to using them for years to come. Students have enjoyed that these books are current with today's youth and they cover subjects they have faced.

Since books are such an expensive commodity, our small school truly appreciates the ability to have new, current books to read and help with the understanding of the theme of our units. Thank you again for the donation towards our continued literacy.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayes

  • Book Clubs

    Funded Sep 1, 2024

Thank you again for the amazing donation to our book clubs. The books we have received will help my students read novels associated with the units in our purchased curriculum. Being from a small, rural school, funding can be tight, so having the novels without the extra cost was life-changing.

Several of my students love the books that were selected and may not have grabbed them if they were in the library.

Thank you again for your generous donation. I look forward to using all of the books in the next year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayes

  • Audio Help

    Funded Oct 13, 2021

We thank you for your generous contribution toward the audio help. The MP3 players have helped students who need to have an audiobook while reading our class novels. The headphones have helped during testing for our students who do not have their own headphones.

We will continue using these devices until they can not be used. I have had students in other classes ask to use them as well.

The headphones also help students to block out noise while they are working independently. They greatly appreciate the opportunity to have a silent working environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayes

  • Practical Health Lessons

    Funded Oct 3, 2021

We thank you so much for your generosity. I can not express how much your donations are appreciated from our school and students. Without you, this project would not have come to fruition. I look forward to what my students will learn with these. Thank you so much and happy thought to you and yours.”

  • Flexible Reading Seating

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

I wish to thank you for your donations once more. The flexible seating in my room has been a big hit. The students love to sit in the bungee chairs and the bean bag chairs anytime they are reading or working independently. I wish I could have gotten more due to the overwhelming joy of the fun flexible seating. The seating has helped my students feel more comfortable during this uncertain time. They can sit, socially distanced, in the flexible seating and enjoy their time in my classroom.

I thank you again for your generosity and I can't wait to see what the next adventure will be in my classroom.”

  • First Aid for Rural Kids

    Funded Dec 5, 2018

We are forever grateful for your donations to help us get first-aid kits that can be put on the different floors of our school. This will help ensure rapid care for students in the event of an emergency. The students have not had a chance to see the new first aid kits. We have not had a chance to hang them. They will be available for the next school year. We can not wait to see the new first aid kits on the wall and the students will feel secure in knowing they have immediate help in emergencies.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayes

  • History Through Literature

    Funded Feb 10, 2018

We greatly appreciate your donation to help us with getting new books for our classroom. We have not used them this year because we were in the middle of our unit covering slaves already. I plan to use them next year and the students who will read them next year are very excited to read them next year.

Having the audiobook will help immensely because we read aloud in class so that even the slowest reader has assistance with comprehension. We discuss as a full class and this also helps with comprehension. By having the students explain what they are interpreting it helps the other students that may not have understood it.

The grammar books will be a great resource for me to use in the classroom to meet the Common Core Standards of Language. Thank you again for the donations. We look forward to the use of the books in the next school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayes

  • Small Town Seeking Technology

    Funded May 10, 2017

We would like to thank you for your generous donation to help my students succeed in this technologically advanced society. The Chromebooks are helping me keep a closer eye on how the students write and we have less forgotten journals. The students have used the computers in class to do research on a moments notice. They can help answer historical questions that may present themselves when we are reading certain literature.

The most exciting part of the new technology is that they can share projects with each other without having to print it. Peer review of works in progress is much easier to accomplish. Collaboration on projects has become easier as well. The students are able to work on the same document at the same time. They can each add their own thoughts and what they have found through research.

Many of my students were open to new technology that would not take us out of the classroom. Being able to work in the classroom without disruption to teaching was a huge feature. My more studious students love the new technology and my less studious students are finding it easier to complete work on a daily basis.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hayes
