Even with one year of teaching under my belt, I still consider myself to be a new teacher because of all of the things I have yet to learn! I am excited to teach, love, and inspire this next group of second graders, and look forward to another adventurous year with these students! My school is considered a Title 1 school, meaning that a lot of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and will not have the funds to afford materials and other resources. I don't think that wealth and status should dictate the type of education a student receives. I am determined to provide my students with the tools necessary to learn and succeed in life. I want my students to feel safe, comfortable, and inspired to learn. I am reaching out to DonorsChoose.org in the hopes that my students will be able to have some of these things and more.
