  • Instructional Technology to Engage Young Minds!

    Funded Jun 27, 2023

Thank you so much for our incredible new TV for our learning environment! Our scholars are enjoying having our daily lessons projected in a way that is clear and easy to see. It has helped me provide a more engaging and interactive learning environment for our third graders. They are so so excited to come to school everyday and learn. My scholars really love using our TV for brain breaks, math lessons, and it projects our science videos so beautifully.

Thank you for helping to create a more innovative environment for our scholars to grow. We are so thankful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mirander

  • Testing Treats & End of the Year Fun!

    Funded Apr 17, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting our students to feel confident and capable during our big state tests this year. Everyday our scholars were able to enjoy a delicious treat for all of their hard work and dedication to their exams. They worked so incredibly hard and gave 100% effort and it was so wonderful to be able to reward them for their efforts with a tasty treat everyday. We also were able to have so many end of the year celebrations to create some really beautiful, indelible memories that they will carry with them forever. Thank you for supporting our kiddos to reach their full potential and to believe in themselves. We appreciate you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mirander

  • Beginning of the Year Basics!

    Funded Jul 29, 2022

We are so thankful to have your support at the start of our school year. All of the essential supplies we received are being used by our amazing scholars everyday. They absolutely loved walking into our classroom on the first day and seeing all of the resources ready for them to use! Our scholars are stocked with the essential supplies we need to have a successful school year. Thank you so much for thinking of us and sending all of the goodies we need to get my scholars excited about excelling in third grade!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mirander

  • Testing Treats!

    Funded May 3, 2022

Testing can be a really difficult time for our scholars, especially this year where it was my students' first time taking state tests post-pandemic. Each day when they received their goodies, the smiles on their faces were so brilliant and so bright. They were so incredibly appreciative of the way you showered them in love and affirmation on these difficult days. We were able to give students a snack for each day of testing and then all of the fun resources were used for our end of the year celebrations. We had a Glow in the Dark Day, water balloon toss, a red carpet Awards Ceremony, and so many more meaningful end of year moments. They definitely left Room 22 knowing how loved and how brilliant they are. Thank you for making sure of that. We are so grateful for your support. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mirander

  • Mindful Yogis and Developing Readers!

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

When our scholars opened up all of the boxes with the new small group reading materials, they were so thrilled! Each day as they met in small groups to practice their foundational reading skills, they were excited to engage with beautiful materials that helped to meet their individual reading needs. Our students grew and moved so many reading levels this year because of these phenomenal resources you gifted to us. Many future readers will benefit from these learning materials in the future! Our new yoga mats and mindfulness resources also helped to create a culture of peace in our classroom space. Our students loved practicing new breathing strategies and even teaching the class breathing strategies they made up themselves. Mindfulness became a part of their identity this year and I feel so thankful for that. Thank you so much for so generously supporting my students both as readers and as mindful young people. We appreciate you!”

  • Building Classroom Community

    Funded Aug 21, 2019

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to our beautiful new classroom rug. My students were beyond excited the first day it arrived in our classroom and we have been using it everyday to continue to build a strong classroom community in Room 22!

My students wrote letters describing their favorite memories on our rug so far this year, so I wanted to share some of them with you. Their favorite memories on our rug include practicing mindfulness, having story time, doing Restorative Justice circles, reading independently, and celebrating Dia de Los Muertos. We have had a host of families come in to share about their cultures with us this year and our rug has been the gathering place that facilitates this cultural enrichment.

We are so grateful that you chose to bless us this year. We will continue to love and care for our rug. Please know that students for years to come will be positively affected by your generous donation. Thank you so very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mirander

This beautiful classroom rug will serve as a place for us to gather as a classroom community. We will use this lovely rug to engage in Restorative Justice community circles in order to deepen students' empathy towards one another. We will use this rug throughout our long days together to get to know one another more deeply. In our community circles, students who have experienced trauma are given the space to share about their feelings, their home lives, and topics that are important to them. Year after year, I have watched circles evolve from a place where students share about simple topics such as their favorite colors to a place where students feel comfortable sharing about deaths in their families or difficulties occurring in their homes. Students develop trust in these circles and then additionally, my scholars learn to care for their peers who share about difficult topics. Each circle builds students' empathy and encourages true community building for our classroom family. Engaging in Restorative Justice circles has been transformative for my students and our development of a classroom community every year. I am amazed at the beautiful and thoughtful ways in which my scholars care for their teammates when they leave Room 22!
