My student athletes are resilient. They do not have the proper volleyball equipment. To practice, someone has to stand on each end of the net just to hold it up. However, we will not let this stop us. At times, we don't even have access to our gym. Again, we continue to move forward. Last year, we won the city championship. My student athletes need volleyball equipment including ball storage carts and a ball bag, balls, a net, practice pinnies, and a score flipper. The requested materials will alleviate some of the challenges that we face and allow the middle school girls to ready themselves for the next level of competition. It will also allow us to be a more competitive team. Despite the challenges in the inner city, we will continue to work, to beat the odds.
