Having access to technology in the classroom on a daily basis provides consistency to the students. In addition to having three classroom desktop computers, having iPads in the classroom will give students access to technology based learning on a daily basis. “There can be infinite uses of the computer and of new age technology, but if teachers themselves are not able to bring it into the classroom and make it work, then it fails.” - Nancy Kassebaum The students will learn how to access information through the iPad and computer. The students will access apps for reading, writing, and math. In the second semester, my students will complete a research project and the iPads provide access. There are district approved activities that provide differentiated instruction for students who need enrichment as well as support for their learning.
