First-Grade Kinesthetic Lessons
Funded Sep 3, 2021Thank you very much for your generosity. Your donations will make my first graders' back-to-school experience more enjoyable while helping them acquire the skills they need to be successful.
Many of my students are entering a classroom for the first time given their young age when the pandemic started. There will be many "firsts" for them this coming year. The wipe-off paddle boards that you donated will help to make learning fun and interactive while they learn how to read, write, and recognize numbers. I greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness in this matter.”

Science at Your Seat
Funded Dec 3, 2019Our Science class as a whole wants to thank you for your generous contribution to our Donors Choose Project Science at Your Seat. It is because of your generosity, that we have been able to turn our teacher-to-student classroom into a student-to-student teaching/learning experience.
Our science classroom received a mobile whiteboard easel which was an incredible addition to our lessons. The mobility of the board ensures that small groups get private and personalized lessons. The lessons have also been transformed from teacher-centered into student-centered where they are turning around their understanding to their classmates. There have been so many requests from small groups to use the board during their group meetings, that we created a schedule for each group.
This has made a tremendous impact on our classroom, especially during our challenging past year. There have been so few opportunities for collaboration and this board has been a shining light for students to share their ideas and understandings. This board couldn't have come at a better time and my students have benefitted both educationally as well as socially from your generosity.
Our sincerest thanks for all you have done for us!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Walpole

Funded Jul 26, 2016I want to thank you so much for affording me the opportunity to further my education in computer science. The year long professional development opportunity allowed me to bring modeling into my middle school science classes. Students have been learning to code scientific events and to further examine the cause and effect associated with these events. We have used this knowledge throughout our Chemistry Units, Weather Units, and as an entry into Waves. As an educator, I am amazed at how far my students have taken their knowledge and this will hopefully prepare them for future careers.
Thank you Donors for your generosity!”
