• Read for Fun

  their success.

  We are busy reading our new chapter book in our 4th grade class. My students were so excited to have a brand new chapter book that they covered and illustrated on the front cover and they get to take it home and read chapters daily. As we read each chapter we analyze characters, talk about the book's setting, the story's problem and finally a resolution.

  We also do writing assignments that connect to the text. For example some students chose the main character, are doing a writing piece on his obstacles.

• Fun Dancing

  Thank you for your donations. We are so appreciative that our students are able to have dance clothes. My students, our dancers are always excited to learn a new form of art. Our dancers are super excited every year when they get their dance attire. Having dance shoes and skirts is so important and it makes them so happy. They walk around with those dance shoes with such pride around school. They bring their dance attire every week for practice and during their performance. During their performances our dancers shine on stage.”

• Conservation, Environmental Project

  Funded Jul 17, 2024

  Thank you everyone for your kind donations to our project. My students will begin to plant the seeds soon, in Spring and hopefully see the plants grow before the school year ends. Earth Day will also be in Spring and we will soon begin to learn about the many ways we can help our Earth stay clean, how to conserve, recycle and reuse and more.

  When children learn how to take care of their surrounding at a young age, they continue to do the same as an adult. Thank you for your kindness and donations.”

• Calm Corner

  Funded May 23, 2024

  My students are enjoying their calm corner, taking turns now and then. It sits in the corner of the room with inspirational phrases and stuffed animals. It is a great addition to our classroom.

  They are excited that this is part of their classroom and they get to experience it.

  I am thankful for your donations and for thinking of our students' well being and happiness.

  It is important to teach grade school children that we humans are always learning and what better way to do that than to have a calm corner with aspirational posters and sayings. Students see these motivational words and remind themselves that learning takes time. We don't master things instantaneously.”

• Fun Dancing!

  Our Dance Team did such an amazing job this year. They committed an hour or two a week and mastered two different dance forms, Flamenco and Spanish Dancing.

  They also performed for our ART event in May of 2024. The audience was so pleased with their performance, especially their families.

  Thank you for supporting our school and our students and for your donations. I am grateful to our supporters because without them not much can be accomplished. Dance is an art form that is no longer available for our youth in most public schools. Exposing students at a young age helps them have a passion they can continue later in life.”
