With the uncertainty this school year brings, I am asking you to help bridge the gap between school and home. My students not only require academics taught online, but they need the use of hands on materials to explore and learn at home.
By giving this donation, you will assist my students in meeting their sensory, visual, and gross motor needs in and out of the classroom.
For students who are nonverbal, picture supports are required to help them communicate everyday wants/needs in their home to families and to me, virtually. My students require the use of kinetic sand and play-doh to meet their sensory needs. The use of a yoga ball and therabands help give them gross motor breaks between times they are required to sit for virtual learning. The students have access to some of these items in the classroom, but require the structured materials at home to create a successful learning environment.
