I will be using the TV and headphones to hook up my iPad and project what is on the screen for a small group during center time. The listening/video center will give my students access to literature in so many ways! My class has a subscription to Scholastic News. The wonderful articles in this program tie in perfectly to our curriculum. The program has an online component that will read the articles to the students and has brief videos and educational games to support the concepts. My students will be able to access these features in small groups during reading centers using the listening center. We can also use QR codes to enable students to listen to books. The possibilities for the use of this amazing technology is endless! I can use the app EduCreations to take pictures of worksheets and literature. I can then create videos where I read the articles/worksheet and annotate. The students can follow along and complete the activity with me. I can be working with one reading group, while another group "works" with me via the listening center. I can finally be in two places at once!
