Colorful Classroom Rug
Funded Aug 17, 2024My students sit on our beautiful rug every single day. This is where they learn about math, reading, writing, and phonics. We also do our read aloud on our rug u see the document camera which is then projected on the tv - the kids say it's like watching a movie! One of the most important things we do at our new rug is review our free choice time each day. We talk about what went well and what we could do better next time. This helps build our classroom community. At the end of the day we sit in a circle and give compliments to one another too! So much important work happens on our colorful rug! Thank you so much!”

Magna Tiles!
Funded Sep 12, 2022Thank you so so much for the magnatiles and organizational tubs. The kinders have been have so much fun creating and building with the new magnatiles and absolutely love the little animals that came with them. The tubs have been a huge help keeping our morning tub activities organized, and help provide more options for activities. Plus, they're way prettier than the old ones I was given years ago, they were faded pale pink and pale green (yuck)! The kiddos always talk about how much prettier these tubs are, haha. They definitely help brighten up the room.”

Wiggle While We Work
Funded Feb 28, 2019My wiggle worms are now able to wiggle while they work! These wobble stools and wobble cushions have really helped my students focus this year. Instead of getting up and walking around the room when they need to move, they can now wiggle in their seats and keep working. I even bought another stool because they were helping my students focus so much. I'm happy I have these added to my classroom, now I'll have a resource to use at the beginning of next year. Kindergarteners are quite wiggly at the beginning of the year.”

Funded May 10, 2017We are still waiting on art easel to arrive but we cannot wait! My students will have much more freedom in the art and writing center this year. Last year we only had the supplies to use watercolor paints, this year they will get to use tempera paint on a real art easel, they are so excited. I love that this easel also has a drying rack underneath, I was able to donate my old drying rack to another teacher in need in our building. It is also great that the easel is 2 sided so more than one kiddo can use it at a time. THANK YOU!!!!”

STEM Center Activities
Funded Dec 21, 2016My students have been using the number lines to help them count during math activities. I currently have the geoboards in the STEM center and in the math tubs for earlier finishers to experiment with. The sorting board is in our STEM center as well as the Geostix (which the kids LOVE). The Kindergartners were SO excited to receive the NumberBots, they already have Alphabots and love them. They use the NumberBots in the morning during free choice. We are anxiously waiting for the microscope. The Kinders had mentioned numerous times that they wished we had a microscope, so when I told them we were getting one they were ecstatic. We haven't received it yet and the kids ask me every day if it's come in the mail yet. I'm so excited for it to arrive so I can see the excitement it brings them. Thank you again.”

Hands-on Morning Activities
Funded Sep 21, 2016Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! These kiddos are LOVING their new hands on morning activities. They are now able to build designs such as owls, cars, and space ships with their pattern blocks which help them develop cognitively. They have counting bears that they can sort by color, or build patterns with. They have tweezers to help their fine motor skills develop rapidly, they've been using their tweezers in our sensory tub at worktime AND in their hands on morning tubs by picking up the counting bears with them. The kindergrtners can now use their magnetic letters on a magnetic whiteboard, they can build the alphabet, their monthly sight words, and/or their friends names.”

Cozy Calming Colored Carpet
Funded Jul 27, 2016My Kinders got the opportunity to finally see their new rug at Meet the Teacher night! They loved it and I was shocked at how much space they are each going to have on the rug. The kids are so small (and cute)! This rug will help them stay in their own leaning space, and having their own space will keep them engaged and away from distractions. The calming colors of the carpet will be great for after recess when they come in and have some time for rest and relaxation as I read them a story to help them wind down.”
