This project will allow students to compare the regular microscope that uses sunlight to an actual powered microscope. Also, they will be allowed to magnify the organisms that are too small for the human eye, up to 400 times the size that it appears on the slide which they then can examine their parts. Students will compare and contrast the different parts of plant and animal cells by using actual slides and microscopes instead of watching videos and me teaching. They will discover themselves the different parts allowing them to meet our state standards while still being rigorous and relevant.
