My students come from all walks of life. I dont feel like their socioeconomic status should limit their access to the science resources available on the internet. Our curriculum regularly suggests students research topics and develop presentations, but I am only provided 3 laptops by my school district. Our computer labs and carts are reserved months in advance. Receiving these 16 tablets would level the playing field for these amazing kids. Each student would have the opportunity to learn how to use the internet responsibly. My students would have the opportunity to work in a more student centered environment where they are in control of their own learning.
