  • Reading With Relaxation and Rewards

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so very much for the support of my classroom. The students are really enjoying the bean bags! They have been so motivated to stay engaged and on task since they know they will get a snack for doing well on their Lexia (our reading program). The students are loving the ability to settle down in one of the bean bag chairs and do their program when they have leveled up.

It's wonderful to have the support from people outside of our classroom. I get to share the excitement that the students have for learning with your help!

I've been told that the relaxed feel of the classroom is what makes them ready to learn in my intensive reading class. The person from the district came in and complimented on the set up of the bean bag chairs!

We really appreciate the support that you and others have given to help make the students enjoy learning. Thank you!!!!”

  • Paper, Pencils, and Incentives, Oh My

    Funded Sep 11, 2024

I can't thank you enough for helping me with this project. The students are loving the incentives and I've had so many students level up. When they level up out of foundational levels they get two treats and they're absolutely loving that. The stickers have been the most picked incentive...even over the candy! That's amazing.

The paper is also great because each time they level up, they get a certificate. I have been printing those certificates on the colored paper and they love that. I'm so happy that they like it...you wouldn't think 8th graders would care, but they do!

Everything is going so well now that they incentives and pretty paper for their awards! Thanks so much for all your help!”

  • Care and Confidence With Always and Tampax

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

I cannot thank you enough for helping our girls. The school nurse was so thankful that this project was funded. The cabinet was almost empty and now she can start out the school year stocked and ready to go.

It's so important for the girls to feel comfortable and clean when at school. Having these pads and tampons for them is a way to help them. There's nothing worse than not being ready for a period during the school day. Luckily this project covers them for that. They are able to go to the clinic and get what they need when they need it.

The girls and I thank you for your support! I know they feel better knowing that what they need is just a few steps away!”

  • Cleaning Wipes & More For The End of the Year!

    Funded May 23, 2024

Thank you so much for helping support my classroom. Some of the items weren't available and I had to pick replacements. Which was great because I was able to pick things I needed. The students love being able to clean the computers with the wipes! You'd think they would hate it, but it's quite the opposite.

I was able to get the glitter markers which is one item they love. They were able to decorate their folders and notebooks for class and the markers just made those pop. Being able to show their creative side in an ELA or Intensive Reading class, just makes it that much more fun!

I have already used up most of the packs of copy paper, the beginning of school makes for tons of copying! But, at least I'm set for the majority of the year already and I won't have to scramble looking for what I need!

The students and I appreciate your kindness and support for our school year. These items definitely help them be successful! We can't thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

  • Dictionaries and Paper Oh, My!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

This project was super special beacuse it was for my ESOL students primarily. They were absolutely over the moon when I gave them the Spanish/English dictionaries. They were so happy to be able to learn to use them and I know they will be learning in leaps and bounds now!

The magnetic notebook paper will help so much because I will be able to use one for my English speaking students for vocabulary and one for my ESOL students for their words that they are going to be learning.

The notebook paper will benefit all my students and that is a huge help. I am trying to get them to write more than using a computer. I don't like all the screen time that students have these days. Between their phones and computers in class, we are losing them to screens. I need them to be able to put their thinking on paper!

Once again, thank you so much. Have a wonderful new year, we will because of you!”

  • Let's Learn About Freedom and the Great Nelson Mandela

    Funded Oct 17, 2023

Thank you so much for your support of my students and my classroom. These kids deserve to read the actual book, not just the snippet that is in our ELA book. This book was huge, but we tackled the parts we needed to for them to understand better. This really helped the students with their comprehension. With the book, the students were engaged and learned a lot about Nelson Mandela before we took on the snippet from the textbook.

The students were so thrilled to be able to hold the book in their hand. It makes them more engaged and that's the important part with students these days. They don't like to read, so if I can get them engaged in what we are doing in class, that's huge.

Again, thanks so much for helping my students become more and more in love with reading.”

  • Let Us Read Novels!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thanks so much for supporting my students and my classroom. These books will be able to used for years to come...as long as they use this book in our curriculum. We didn't reaad the whole book, but we did read enough for the students to understand the snippet they put into our actual ELA book. This helped the students to understand the part that was in the book we use.

The students were so thankful to have the book to hold in their hands and to be able to have the background knowledge they needed about the characters. This was so helpful for their comprehension and I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Keeping Up With the News in Middle School

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

I can't thank you enough for your support of my classroom and students. My students really look forward to receiving these Scholastic News. They enjoy reading them and it really engages them in reading. It keeps them up to date on the news that's on their level.

I know the students don't like to read, so having something like this really helps to motivate them and gets them to read. In today's school day it's nice to be able to get off of the curriculum for a few days and read something that is more on their level.

Again, thank you so much for your support of my classroom and my students. We really appreciate it!”

Welcome to my project page. Thank you for visiting. I've been teaching for 12 years. I've taught at all levels. Right now I am teaching 6th and 8th grade Intensive Reading as well as 6th grade ELA. Lincoln Memorial Middle School is a Title 1 school located in FL with wonderful children. It is really something to go into work each and every day to help these children grow with their learning. The students come from all types of backgrounds. Some have parents who can't help them with homework because they don't speak English or some have parents who have to work two jobs to help make ends meet. All of my students know that they can come to me with any problems and they all know that I will help with anything they need. We are all teachers who teach for the outcome here at Lincoln Memorial Middle School!
