Every Day Is a Great Day for Learning

My 4th grade class and I would like to thank you for your generous donation. Having the Chrombooks in our classroom has made a huge difference and we are so thankful.

Each day, my students use the Chromebooks in all subjects. I believe they most enjoy publishing their writing on Kidblog. They can't believe that their stories can be read by people around the world. I think this is the first time many of them have used this kind of platform for their writing. I have a child in my class that struggles with writing. He has great stories to tell but when it is time to write them down, he is stuck. We recently learned about a speech to text feature that can be accessed on the Chromebooks. The first time I showed him how it worked, he was so excited and pleased. He hugged me and said thank you so much! Now, he has no problem getting his stories written.

Another favorite activity for my students is learning to code. During the week of Hour of Code, they were so excited that they were able to code everyday in the classroom, not just one day in the technology lab. Even though Hour of Code week is over, they still enjoy to code often. This couldn't have happened without your generosity.”
