Thank you Oklahoma State Department of Education! With this classroom grant, I know you have my back and the best interests of my students in mind. • Where in the World? Social Studies for Today's Student

    Funded Aug 15, 2016

Thank you for donating to our project! We are enjoying the new globe and wall map so much! The bright colors and attractive displays draw students to exploration without even having assignments. When we have had assignments that require the use of these resources, the students have had fun using their new resources. I have enjoyed watching the piqued curiosity the globe and map have brought to many students.

We are just beginning to use the resource books, as we are beginning to learn about Colonial America. The books have many interesting maps and pictures that have brought about questions and a desire for deeper learning among the students. I look forward to using these resources even more in the weeks and months ahead.

Thank you again for your generosity and willingness to provide these resources for our classroom. This project/website has shown me how people actually want to support educators and further education for the next generation through generous giving. Thank you for bringing me a greater hope for the future!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bell

My students are currently using classroom maps and a globe that is over 15 years old. We are in desperate need of new materials. I would also like some additional materials to enrich our learning experience from our textbook. The two books have great colonial maps and extra in depth information about early American history. Since my students live in a rural area, I strive to broaden their experiences to have a more global view. Social studies is a great path to bring a deep understanding of our beginning and our place on the globe, in order to become productive citizens. As for the electric pencil sharpener, it's to save time and minimize distractions. Not to mention, it will help with my own sanity.
