A lovely toy house filled with furniture and dolls will bring English language learner students to life and provide an opportunity for the children to practice oral language through creative play. Students look forward to spending time with their friends during their hard earned unstructured class time or as the students lovingly call it, "Free Time Friday." The last 20 minutes of class on Friday for kindergarten, first, and second grade English language students provides an opportunity for the children to use their imaginations and bond with classmates through interactive play. I hope to add a doll house to our interactive toy collection that students can pull from the cabinet, find a cozy spot on the rug, and let the imaginative play begin.
