College and Career Resources to Fuel our Future!
Funded Mar 20, 2022Thank you so much for assisting us in creating a gorgeous college and career corner for our school. Students are thriving with the career and college choices the displays present. It is very popular and engaging! 36% of our senior graduates earned scholarships to attend a 4-year university in 2022! The displays assisted them in choosing the college of their choice!
Furthermore, our gifted team is enjoying the new resource books. The books will be the emphasis of our literature study this year.”

Funded Sep 1, 2016Our class is greatly appreciative for the Chrome Books we have received through Donors Choose. The children have been able to extend their learning through various research projects, natural talent development, inventions, and designing and producing products and artifacts. The technology has assisted the children in diving deeper into their content and by providing an outlet for them to challenge their learning through a variety of learning resources. The children have been able to unleash their learning ability and extend their depth of learning through project based learning and project development.
A 10 year old girl in our class was able to use the technology to produce bags for homeless shelters for her natural talent development project. Using a gallon size zip lock bag, she decorated the bag with decorative duct tape and added a handle. She then filled the bag with essential supplies such as socks, soap, tooth brush, etc. to have to homeless people. She took the project a step further by creating a GoFundMe account and received donations to create an additional 18 bags. Her project continues today with additional bags going out to homeless people in need.
A 10 year old boy in the class used the technology to research his passion of the Seven Wonders of the World. He is using his research to recreate the wonders with modeling clay.
An 11 year old boy is satisfying his thirst for the Middle Ages by researching and recreating ancient chain mail.
A 10 year old girl is obsessed with Harry Potter, she is using the technology to recreate Hogwarts and HogsMeade in great detail. She has been researching how to build ancient castles, the engineering behind a moving stair case and much much more...
Each of these projects and many more will be ready and on display for our school's Natural Talent Development Show in April. If able, I will be happy to upload additional photos at that time.”
